We Hear The Future...
Joseph (JoJo Gator) Rainone
Joseph Rainone is a 43-year veteran of the recording industry. As a writer, producer, and radio promotions specialist, JoJo played a key role in the pop, dance, and rock scenes of the 1980s and 90s. With family ties to the industry dating back to the 1920s, he grew up immersed in the world of radio and film promotions. Starting in the family business in Warwick, Rhode Island in1980, he went on to navigate the New York club and radio promotions circuits.
Working closely with major labels and recording artists, JoJo became a staple in the industry, with he and his team contributing to millions of records sold. A pivotal meeting with New Kids on the Block producer Maurice Starr and Jason McGonagle further expanded his influence. During his time at General Entertainment Management in Roxbury, MA, JoJo served as the agent for over 20 acts, coordinating global tours and high-profile bookings.
Throughout his career, JoJo has been involved in thousands of releases and numerous hits. His extensive network includes collaborations with industry figures like the late George Cappelinni, Ben Scotti, Joe Galante, Bob Jamieson, and multi platinum producer engineer Phil Greene and a long tenure as a loyal partner to Sony. This relationship led to the establishment of his own label through RED Distribution, and he continues his work today via The Orchard.
JoJo is now bringing his decades of experience to Nashville Music Group. Alongside Denny Knight, he is set to lead the next chapter of success in the music business.
